USAID efforts in education focus on improving the quality of education of primary and secondary level students by developing language programs, curricula, and materials. Programs seek to improve individual professional development, school management, and information systems for decision-making in the education sector as well as provide social assistance for vulnerable populations.

USAID's Education and Social Services program in El Salvador aims to:

  • Improve basic education;
  • Improve higher education opportunities; and
  • Provide social assistance for vulnerable populations.
