USAID/Ghana's Democracy and Governance programs support local governments to improve efficiency and effectiveness in meeting the needs of citizens.

  • Ensure that local and national governments are responsive to the needs and interests of their citizens; and
  • Promote inclusive development, so that women, minorities, and vulnerable populations benefit from growth, opportunity, and the expansion of rights.
