USAID's Investments for Education and Social Services in Haiti - Dollars to Results

USAID/Haiti supports Haitian President Michel Martelly identifying free and universal education as one of the key priorities of his administration. During Fall 2011, the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training began the rollout of an operational plan to get 1.5 million students in school by 2016, improve curricula, train teachers and set standards for licensing schools.
USAID's Education and Social Services program in Haiti aims to:
- Improve basic education; and
- Provide social assistance for vulnerable populations.
