USAID's Democracy and Governance programs in Kenya encourage the reform agenda agreed to by the Grand Coalition Government and enhances the country's system of checks and balances.

USAID's Democracy and Governance program in Kenya works with the Government of Kenya to:

  • Advance constitutional and electoral reform,
  • Strengthen the voice and advocacy capacity of civil society,
  • Promote peace building at national and local levels, and
  • Support the oversight and legislative role of Parliament.
