USAID is always prepared to provide emergency aid to those in need around the world. USAID programs helped communities and governments prepare for disasters, provided immediate relief in the aftermath of a crisis, and set the stage for recovery and rehabilitation. In Nicaragua, USAID supports pre-positioning of emergency relief supplies in remote areas of the country to enable quick distribution after a disaster strikes.
