Health programs in Rwanda improve access to high quality health services and strengthens the overall healthcare system in Rwanda.

USAID's health program in Rwanda aims to:

  • Expand access to quality family planning services;
  • Support comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and care programs;
  • Reduce the impact and spread of malaria;
  • Improve maternal and child health health services; and
  • Improve nutrition.


Family Day community event

"Family Day" is a community event organized monthly by low-income women to increase awareness of and generate demand for health services.
