USAID works with Timor-Leste to leverage recent progress and improve health outcomes, particularly for women and children under the age of five. With a record of strong performance and effective participation with government and civil society counterparts, health programs have achieved a high level of success in improving the quality of health services for the Timorese people.

USAID'S HEALTH PROGRAM IN TIMOR-LESTE AIMS TO:

  • Reduce maternal and child mortality rates;
  • Expand access to family planning and reproductive health programs; and
  • Improve water supply and sanitation.
